Reducing Acne

Many clients come to me to help get rid of their acne because they have realised that nothing they have tried to do themselves at home is working.

They have reached a point where they want to take good care of their skin and want a skin expert to help them to finally have clear skin.

Here are some results from some of my clients.

Reducing Acne

My client Lily* had been trialling all sorts of different products to help her skin but was not getting the results she wanted.

I created a skincare, dietary and lifestyle plan with Lily to suit her needs, and we worked together to find products that worked well for her within our Sabore range and other reputable brands for dietary supplements.

We have continued with facial treatments in salon that mostly include Enzyme Peels and LED Light Therapy.

Lily has had great results from adjusting her skincare at home and working with dietary recommendations.

We may still do further treatment with SQT Bio Microneedling to work on scarring if this doesn't reduce further with the treatments we have already been doing.

It has been rewarding to give Lily some confidence back and help her take control of her skin concerns.

Anti Aging

Lots of women start seeking more advanced facial treatments when they reach their 40s and 50s to help soften fine lines, wrinkles and make them look and feel younger than they are.

Denise* came in as she was beginning to feel concerned about the lines around her mouth and neck.

Denise was quite wary about treatment options, as she had suffered a burn from a laser treatment in previous years.

Pigmentation

Pigmentation and sun damage is one of the most common skin conditions that my clients come to see me for. Unfortunately the damage is usually done in younger years and then begins to show in later life.

The good thing is, there are now options available to us to lighten the skin and repair the damage that has been done. This does need to be done alongside a strict skincare regimen that avoids further damage and pigmentation.

This can be as simple as a melanin inhibiting serum and a decent sunscreen reapplied religiously, but sometimes we need someone to remind us of the importance of this!

Here is some photos of a client who was recently treated for pigmentation.

Megan* came to me to see if I could help lift some pigmentation on her skin and possibly improve some scarring that was from an accident as a child.

Because our skin is our largest organ, the facial area is not always the only area my client will want treated.

I have worked on clients backs regarding acne and scarring, and more recently have started treating the top of a clients hand who had sun damage that has been treated and removed by the doctor but has resulted in lumps and bumps that made my client very self conscious of exposing her hands.

Barrier Repair

Another very common skin condition I see as a skin therapist is what we call an impaired skin barrier, often described by clients as "sensitive" or irritated skin.

There can be many reasons and factors behind this, and because I complete a thorough skin consultation with each client, we usually get to the bottom of it quite easily.

Treatment usually starts as very minimalistic skincare changes, and the biggest factor is usually dietary and lifestyle related.

With a little guidance from me, it can be very easy to turn the skin around and repair the barrier resulting in a non-reactive, strong and calm skin.

Here is an example of how the skin barrier improves with the right "ingredients".

When the skin barrier is functioning properly, as you can see the texture of the skin improves greatly, the hydration improves and overall the skin is more balanced and even toned.

Led Light Therapy using red light can be very beneficial for this skin type, as it aids in boosting the skin collagen cells which aids repair, growth and strengthening of the skin.
